Belief in Allah's books
The scriptures Allah revealed to His prophets, the four best known among them, and why only the Quran's rulings stand today.
The third thing every Muslim believes in is Allah's books. Allah sent holy books to His prophets, to teach the people of that time. Every one of these books is true, and every word in them is really from Allah.

Every Muslim must believe in all the books Allah sent to His prophets, one hundred and four in all, without needing to know each name. Every one of them is true and really from Allah. The four most famous are the Torah given to Musa, the Zabur given to Dawud, the Injil given to Isa, and the Quran given to Muhammad ﷺ.
123456Every Muslim must believe that the Quran is the greatest, most complete and last of all the books, that no new book will ever come from Allah again, and that its rules stay in force until the Day of Judgment while the rules of the older books no longer apply.

It is obligatory (fard) to believe in every scripture Allah revealed to His prophets, a hundred and four in all, without needing to specify their number: each is true and just, and all are the speech of Allah. 1234The third uṣūl of belief is īmān in the kutub of Allah: Allah Almighty revealed numerous scriptures to His prophets so that each might instruct their community in the teachings of the faith. Every one of these scriptures is ḥaqq (true) and just, and each is, in its entirety, the kalām (speech) of Allah Almighty.

Īmān in all the kutub of Allah is obligatory (farḍ), the one hundred and four ṣuḥuf and kutub alike, without any requirement to enumerate them: each is ḥaqq and just, and each in its entirety is the kalām of Allah. The four of major standing are the Tawrāh revealed to Mūsā ﷺ, the Zabūr to Dāwūd ﷺ, the Injīl to ʿĪsā ﷺ, and the Qurʾān to Muḥammad ﷺ.

- Allah Almighty revealed many scriptures to His prophets so that they could teach their respective communities the teachings of the faith.
